After unveiling the E6 on Indian shores a few months ago, Gionee is back with its latest new flagship Smartphone ELIFE E7. But this time around, the handset has been launched in China. It runs on an Android-based operating system with the AMIGO 2.0 UI, and is powered by a QUALCOMM snapdragon S800 chipset, on a 2.2 GHz quad-core processor. It packs in a 16 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera (crisper selfies, anyone?), and boasts of "Largan M8 lens solution".
It features sports a 5.5" FHD (JDI) Display with 1080x1920 pixels at 401 ppi, protected by third-generation Gorilla Glass, which is twice as durable as the second generation of Gorilla Glass. The first version of the AMIGO voice assistant will support the Chinese language. The ELIFE E7 comes in both 3G and 4G variants. ELIFE E7 3G has a quad-core processor and it’s the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with the Qualcomm 8974AC version 2.5 GHz quad-core processor. E7 3G comes in two versions — WCDMA and TD-WCDMA. The GIONEE ELIFE E7 is likely to be available in India by early 2014. Gionee will also be launching E7 mini with a Mediatek octa-core chipset soon.
